A discussion about the importance of digital adaptation of sites for users with disabilities

As a result, information presented online becomes inaccessible to many potential users, including those with disabilities.
In 2021, Garage launched a new version of its site, which was developed together with the Museum’s Inclusive Programs Department and constructed using principles of universal design.
The discussion participants will look at the importance of adapting information for various Internet user segments and, taking the Garage site as an example, will analyze successful design decisions. They will also discuss the kind of mistakes developers often make, which lead to sites being inaccessible to users with screen-readers.
The new design for the Garage site received a number of awards in Russia, including at the ADCR Awards and the G8 and Sreda festivals.
