A Workshop by Maxim Anpilogov and Vera Barkalova on Assembling a Dirty Video Mixer

The workshop will include an introductory lecture on basic circuit board soldering, on projects by dirty video mixer inventor Karl Klomp and his contribution to the development of the DIY community, and on the assembly of an analogue mixer.
Participants will assemble their own instrument from the parts provided and will test it. The workshop is intended for those who already have experience of circuit bending and for those who will be working with this technique for the first time.
The workshop will take place as part of the public program of the World Gone By computer class.

Vera Barkalova
(b. 1990, Moscow) is a photographer and artist who creates total installations using a range of media. She graduated from the journalism faculty of the Ostankino Radio and Television Institute (Moscow, 2012) and Igor Mukhin’s studio at the Rodchenko Art School (Moscow, 2015). She is a Garage Studios resident and co-founder of the music project barkal x wiiu wiiu. She has participated in international exhibitions and publications.
Maxim Anpilogov
(b. 1996, Khabarovsk) is a radio enthusiast, researcher, artist, and constructor of video and audio analogue instruments. He is a Garage Studios resident and co-founder of the music project barkal x wiiu wiiu. He has been involved in concerts and exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
