Not Before and Not Since: A course on creating videos for teenagers aged 15 to 17 years
Together with Maria Shestakova, who participated in the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, the group will get to know the basics of editing, study the structure of video, learn to work with sound and speech, and combine narration and image into a single pace. Participants are invited to creatively process information and impressions from the outside world using video practices. The course is addressed to those who feel uncomfortable in the real and imaginary space with a video camera in their hands and are looking for a safe meeting place.
The works produced during the course will be participants’ personal videos, created as a result of conversations and practices. Participants can invite friends to watch them.
You will need a smartphone with a camera to take part in the classes. Participants will learn the basic tools of the program DaVinci Resolve.

Maria Shestakova
An artist. She studied contemporary art at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. She participated in the Extracurricular Practices laboratory as part of the 6th Moscow International Experimental Film Festival (MIEFF) and in the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. In her practice, she works with immobility and the manifestation of derealization in surrounding spaces.
