Part of the course will focus on presenting art and research works that critically approach the modern media environment and explore its possibilities. These include a project by Masha Dantsis that reflects on the experience of digital motherhood, Mikhail Maksimov’s masterclass on the auteur artistic video game THE TOOL, and meetings of the Almanac-Fire community as part of the Pangea Ultima project.

The other block of the program will emphasize the importance of working with digital archives at the expert and amateur level, while also acquainting participants with the tools for creating personal and institutional archives and practical aspects of working with them.

The computer class will also offer games as a research method, both inside and around the virtual world in the mode of an Alek Petuk seminar and as a LARP (live action role-play) for comprehending modern history through the distance of a speculative future, created by artist Asya Volodina.

Classes for teenagers aged 15 to 17 years will introduce them to video documentation techniques and working with digital tools, such as bots and visual and video editors.

During course sessions only registered participants can use the Computer Class.
